France upsets England to move to the Final of the 2012 DWC.

England players stunned and surprised after their disastrous defeat against France at the Fairland Stadium.

France upsets England to move to the Final of the 2012 Diaspora World Cup. Just to put it mildly, one would say England had the chances and France scored the goals. No one disputes the fact that England was clearly the favorite for the 2012 Diaspora World Cup Trophy. But, this is Soccer and it does not matter how good you are. You got to score goals. On the other hand, Armenia showed a strong and better performance during the second leg against Scotland by winning 2-1. But, a 3-0 in favor of Scotland during the first leg has proved to have been lethal for the Washington Elite of Raffie Kehyaian. Not a single expert or critic thought Armenia will recover to make it to the final. Saturday September 1st is the Big Day at 04:00pm at the Heurich Stadium in Hyattsville, MD. Stay Tuned! The Diaspora World Cup

England entered the knockout stage with the ambition of reaching the championship match. However, France managed to overcome its opponent and bring England's tournament journey to an end at the semifinal stage.

The defeat was particularly significant because England was one of the established national teams participating in the Diaspora World Cup. Losing at this stage meant that the team would not have the opportunity to compete for the 2012 championship.

Reaching the final represented a major achievement for the French diaspora team. The tournament gave players from different national communities the opportunity to compete while representing their heritage, and France had now reached the decisive stage of the competition.

The victory over England showed the importance of performing when the pressure was highest. France had managed to get through a difficult knockout match and put itself within one game of becoming champion.

France's victory over England changed the direction of the 2012 Diaspora World Cup. Instead of England competing for the title, France became one of the final two teams fighting for the championship.

The semifinal victory was therefore more than simply another result. It gave the French team an opportunity to turn an impressive tournament run into a championship campaign.

With the final still to be played, France had one final challenge ahead. But after overcoming England, the team had every reason to believe that the biggest achievement of its 2012 campaign was within reach.
